Resistance
Throughout her presentation, Khushi was constantly aware of the fact that Lasya might create an obstacle to the implementation process. Khushi remembered her initial days at Shop-n-Shop, when Lasya had argued with her when she asked her to comply with the company’s official time and make herself present ‘on-time’ to office. Relaxing in a chair on the evening of the HR Manual launch, Khushi said to herself, “It is my last attempt to realize my dream.....
A Candid Conversation
After a while, when she had the chance, Khushi told Sandip during a comfortable talk, “You seem to be curious and creative, with broad interests and imagination. Why don’t you take an active role in bringing everyone on board in coping with ambiguity at their work-stations?”......
To The Brink And Back
The experiences shared by the entire staff gave Khushi a new impetus to work toward having shared goals. And also being anxious to ensure that her appointment resulted in a significant improvement in the output of the team, she discussed the idea of introducing new rules for work-place management with Lasya. During the discussion, Khushi sent a message that she was not happy with Lasya, as she had been reporting late to work and asked her to adhere to the new rules. ......
Looking Ahead
According to Khushi, the next three months saw a turnaround in the fortunes of Shop-n-Shop. Every new recruit who had since joined the company as well as the existing employees were willing to handle any responsibility that came their way. According to Khushi, there was already a sea change in the way the employees conducted themselves in office. But there was still one man who seemed far from content – Shankar. Khushi felt that bringing about a change in him was her next big challenge.......
